• Departure point: In front of Narlıdere Atatürk Cultural Centre, İzmir (participants will also be picked up at designated stops along the way).
Tour Programme
Day 1 · Saturday, 21 November | Autumn Colours & Historic Streets
• 08:30 – Arrival at Atatürk Arboretum: about two hours of photography among the striking colours of autumn and a wide variety of plant species.
• 10:30 – 11:00 – Departure from the Arboretum and transfer to Karaköy.
• 11:30 – Historic route and city walk:
– Ride the historic Tünel funicular up to the Galata Tower area, with a photo stop.
– Walk down Yüksek Kaldırım to Tophane and explore the historic monuments.
– Walk through Galataport to Karaköy and cross the Galata Bridge.
– Photograph along the Sirkeci, Eminönü, Spice Bazaar and New Mosque route.
• Hotel check-in: Arrival at our hotel in Sultanahmet and time to rest.
• Evening:
– Transfer to the selected restaurant for dinner.
– Night photography before and after dinner (Istanbul under the lights).
– Return to the hotel; free time and rest.
Day 2 · Sunday, 22 November | History, Culture & the Streets of Balat
• Morning: Breakfast at the hotel.
• Morning route: Photography at Sultanahmet Square, Hagia Sophia Mosque and the Sultan Ahmed (Blue) Mosque. A visit to the Basilica Cistern, time permitting.
• Afternoon: Transfer to Balat. Free photography among its colourful streets and historic architecture.
• 15:00 – 15:30 – Return journey: Departure from Istanbul to İzmir, taking the toll motorway for a faster and more comfortable trip.
